It can leave people feeling "upset," "angry," "stupid," or even "isolated." One respondent summed it up perfectly: "Isolated. Excluded. Alone. Frustrated. Unimportant to society."

In the UK, at least 1 in 5 people – or 16 million – live with a long-term illness, impairment, or disability. Millions more experience temporary disabilities. These voices often go unheard in participation processes.
