Citizen participation platform Go Vocal (formerly CitizenLab) has welcomed GovTech expert Max Schnoedl to its board, as it continues to expand across the US.
The SaaS company, which is also a certified B Corp, supports more than 500 local governments with digital community engagement tools across more than 20 countries, including Belgium – where it is headquartered – the Netherlands, France, Germany, and the UK. In the US, Go Vocal is working with cities including St Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO, and Seattle, WA.
Schnoedl brings a wealth of expertise to Go Vocal’s board, serving on multiple GovTech boards and having held executive roles at two prominent GovTech companies: Accela, a leader in permitting and licensing solutions for U.S. cities, and Springbrook, a provider of ERP and payments software.
Go Vocal Co-Founder and CEO Wietse Van Ransbeeck says: “We’re thrilled to have such an experienced GovTech leader join our board. Max’s deep knowledge of local governments’ needs in the US, as well as his enthusiasm for software solutions, means he’s exactly who we need on our side as we strive to reach our goal of engaging 5 million residents on our community engagement platform.”
Schnoedl says: “Go Vocal’s global vision, and what the team has been able to achieve over the past 10 years, is impressive.”
“Now more than ever, we’re reminded of the importance of listening to residents and offering opportunities for civic participation. Cities and towns can accomplish great things when they tune in to their residents’ needs. I’m very excited to be part of Go Vocal’s journey to expand the reach of their participation tools in the US.”
